Dave Lambert entered the executive search business in 1983 and founded Lambert & Associates in 1996. Before his retirement he served as President of the firm conducting more than 500 executive search assignments for more than 250 universities, colleges and academic medical centers, and a wide range of nonprofit institutions.
Dave occupied leadership and management roles in higher education and healthcare for almost two decades prior to entering executive search. He was Vice President for Development and Public Affairs at Hahnemann University and Hospital in Philadelphia, and earlier in his career, he held management positions in development, annual giving and alumni affairs at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Pittsburgh. Dave has broad experience in comprehensive capital campaigns, strategic planning, institutional advancement, organizational studies, human resource planning and allocation, and marketing.
Dave was an active member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP), and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP). He served as a regular writer, speaker and panelist on various topics related to nonprofit management, particularly in the fields of fundraising and human resources.
